BrandBASE covers ONLY the
consumer packaged goods industry - manufacturers of branded products sold
in supermarkets and drug stores. It covers the following classes: food
and beverage, beer, health and beauty aids, household products, pet
products, tobacco, wine and liquor and prescription pharmaceuticals.

BrandBASE focuses on
marketing department decision-makers. It includes the top executives such
as, CMO, VP and director level but also brand management contacts with
unprecedented depth. These are the people that make the day-to-day
decisions and have budgets to spend.
BrandBASE also covers sales
promotion, headquarters sales management plus marketing research,
packaging, purchasing, public relations and C-level management.

How is BrandBASE maintained?
The packaged goods industry
is constantly changing. We make the phone calls, get past voice mail,
scour trade publications and do-whatever-it-takes to get the best
available information on the industry.
BrandBASE is updated
primarily by phone using highly trained and dedicated researchers. Large
companies are reviewed every 120 days; the small companies are researched
annually. We review latest press releases, industry trade publications
(e.g. Ad Age, Brandweek, Promo and many others), sift through corporate
websites, and attend major industry trade shows and conferences. The
BrandBASE server is updated daily.
We keep track of major brand names. Many packaged
goods companies are unloading brands that they feel no longer fit
strategically. These "orphaned" brands either get sold to another
corporation or picked up by an upstart company. We keep on top of this
activity and make the appropriate changes immediately.

How does BrandBASE work?
BrandBASE is an online database service, accessible
via user ID and password. Searches can be performed either by company,
contact or brand.

How do I access BrandBASE?
BrandBASE is accessible via Internet
Explorer and other major browsers via high-speed internet access, either
DSL, cable modem or T1. We provide a temporary password that will allow
access to BrandBASE. Once you've registered, you or members on your team
will be able to change the temporary password.

How do you provide access to
a far-flung sales force?
The standard Master License
for BrandBASE covers up to 3 users (users must be employed by your
company). We can provide additional seat licenses to help support your
sales people whether they are in your office or in remote locations. Seat
licenses run concurrent with the Master License. Contact us for more

What if I forget my password?
The home page has a "Forget Your Password?" link. We'll automatically
e-mail the password to you.

How long is the license agreement?
Your subscription runs for one year. If you
are a first time user, your subscription commences as soon as we receive
payment either by credit card or check. Access to BrandBASE renews
automatically at the end of the subscription period. However, if you no
longer require access to BrandBASE, please contact us 30 days prior to
the End Date on the invoice to terminate your subscription.

Can we download data from BrandBASE?
BrandBASE allows for
low-volume e-mail and "correspondence" type mailings from your office.
Your sales team probably already uses a full-fledged contact manager such
as ACT!, Goldmine or an online service such as salesforce.com. Contact
information from BrandBASE can be downloaded as a text file and then
imported into virtually any contact manager or CRM solution.
Downloads are limited to 250 records per
login session and capped at 5,000 per Master License for the duration of
the subscription period.

Can we use BrandBASE for a direct mail campaign?
BrandBASE can also be used
for traditional direct mail. Mass mailings above 2,000 contacts are
subject to an additional usage fee and must be executed by a bonded
lettershop. When you're ready, please contact us for pricing information.
